John Wall’s tenure with adidas has come to an end. What that means is that John Wall is no longer officially a part of the adidas team, so adidas no longer promotes John Wall’s signature sneakers. One of the sneakers not being promoted by adidas happens to be the adidas J Wall 2 BHM.  You’ve probably seen several adidas sneakers from their Black History Month collection, but not one time was the J Wall 2 shown, advertised or mentioned. Although that may be the case, the shoe does in fact exist and you can actually get a pair of your own right now.

The adidas J Wall 2 BHM pays tribute to Jesse Owens, the African American track and field athlete and four-time Olympic gold medalist. On the tongue’s shoe you will find Owens’ bib number 733 from the 1936 Olympics. A lace dubrae donning the Jesse Owens name also appear on the shoe. The shoe comes in a white base contrasted by the gold colored hits placed throughout the upper of the shoe. A white sole unit completes the look of the shoe. If you like what you see, you can now get a pair of your own at select retailers for $115.

Author’s Take

I was never a fan of the John Wall signature line, but I respect the fact that the shoe pays homage to one of the greats. Definitely a nice gesture.
